Can't We Do Better?
I hope the powers that be in the democratic party watch House Minority Leader Pelosi's pathetic performance on Meet the Press this morning. She was just wretched, no more articulate than our lead-tongued President. (And what's with making up new words like "Iraqitize"? Pathetic.) I hope the leadership watches with extreme regret.

She was absolutely the wrong choice for this position--and for more than just her inarticulateness. She was wrong because she is a poster child for the single-minded obsession with money that dominates politics today. Representative Pelosi enjoys her position not because she is a particularly effective or charismatic politician. She is Leader because she excels at raising money, and money matters most.
